What is SCENAR?
The SCENAR (Self-Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulation) is a hand-held device with an electrode at one end that delivers fast, non-invasive, effective relief from both acute and chronic pain conditions. The SCENAR was developed back in the 1970′s for the Russian space program by an elite team of Russian doctors and scientists, to overcome the problems during space travel of crew members suffering from pain, injury or disease who could not be treated conventionally with pharmaceutical drugs (due to lack of storage and toxins from those drugs entering the water recycling system used by the whole crew). They needed something that was energy-efficient, portable and effective on a wide range of conditions. Thus, SCENAR was born and it has since then achieved repeatable success for numerous conditions. Tests in Russia have shown the SCENAR to be effective in 80% of cases, leading the national press to call it the ‘Star Trek Device’.
How Does It Work?
The SCENAR device works by stimulating the nervous system, using biofeedback to send out electrical signals which the body then responds to. The SCENAR stimulates the body to produce C-fibres (these comprise 85% of all nerves in the body) which in turn promote the production of regulatory peptides (in particular neuropeptides), which are the body’s internal pharmacy responsible for healing and repair work. Once stimulated, the body sends out these neuropeptides to help the body to heal itself, whether the cause is toxicity, injury or disease. These peptides can last for up to several hours, so the healing process can continue long after the treatment is finished. Because the central nervous system is stimulated in this way, healing may occur in more than one area, often having a further beneficial effect on other body functions, such as sleep, metabolism and behaviour.
During a SCENAR treatment, the device is run over affected areas of bare skin such as the spine, abdomen or specific areas of pain, injury or dysfunction. A gentle tingling sensation will be felt as the practitioner looks for any areas of change (signified by either stickiness of the skin, redness, white patches or sound changes from the device itself). These areas are then treated and the body can begin its healing processes.
What Conditions Can The SCENAR Treat?
The SCENAR is licensed in the UK for pain relief only but because it stimulates the C-fibres, it can and does affect all the body systems, including digestive, cardio-vascular, nervous, musculo-skeletal, respiratory and genitourinary systems. It will help acute and chronic pain, inflammation, trauma and injuries, burns, fractures and it has been shown to be useful for insect bites, allergic reactions, immune disorders, metabolic issues and psychological dysfunctions, including stress and depression.
Acute pain will require frequent but intensive treatments and chronic pain or conditions will require less frequent treatments over a longer period of time. Results vary, depending upon the individual’s age, general state of health and length of time the body has been dysfunctioning. With over 50,000 cases in Russia of the SCENAR’s use, it is no wonder that it is starting to appear as a valid treatment option in hospitals in the UK and as a device for reducing injury time in athletes.
Contra-Indications
The SCENAR is not suitable for anyone with a cardiac pacemaker, a severe mental health disorder or a recreational drug addiction.
It is however, safe for pregnant women and children to be treated.
